Usefulness of a cup

Preparedness

Many people in today’s society are stressed and overworked.

Prices for everything are going through the roof.

On top of that, the pace of change today is disorienting! Fear not, though.

I have some wisdom that I wanted to share with you that will put things in perspective.

I want to share a Chinese proverb with you today.

The proverb goes, as such, the usefulness of a cup is in its emptiness.

What does that mean?

Well, if a cup's already full, you can't really put anything else into it.

Only when it's empty can you actually pour something in.

So what does this have to do with you?

For the people out there who feel stressed out, tired, overworked, low energy, it might be time to take a break and that means emptying your cup.

That is because if you take a break and you're able to relax and get away from things when you come back, your cup feels empty.

Then you'll be able to fill it up with all of the new things that you need to do in order to reach your goals.

So always remember the usefulness of a cup is in its emptiness.

If you are tired then don’t hesitate to take a break from the daily grind.

Use that time to figure out what is important to you and make those your priorities.

Once you empty your cup think about what you want to achieve and focus on those goals relentlessly.

When was the last time you had a break and got away from things?
